Wow it has been too long my dear blog. Well lots has happened to the family since my last post. Job gains and losses, marriage, sadness, medical emergencies, and a new baby boy. I never thought that I would be one of those people who's life was nearly cut short at a young age but mine nearly was. I never thought I would have a job loss that lasted for over a year now. But all in all my life is blessed simply because I have my boys, big and small. We have a new addition to our family. His name is Corvus Leon. A beautiful little person who makes my troubles seem worth while.

Stains

I just wanted to share a little trick I figured out. At Ethan's birthday party someone evidentially had oil on their shoes and tracked in my house leaving little oil spots all over the living and dining room carpet. I bought resolve laundry stain remover for stubborn stains that Ethan gets on his clothes and it worked so well I decided to try it on the carpet. I spray a good amount on the stain leave it for 5 minutes then spray the bissell carpet cleaner from my bissell little green machine use the rotating brush to scrum from all directions and then suck up the stain. Lastly I pour cold water on the spot and then suck up the water. I was shocked at how well it worked. When I was pregnant with Ethan I had spilled orange juice on the carpet and we have not been able to get rid of the stain. Orange juice has sugar in it so this stain was gross you know it was dark in color because dirt was sticking to the sugar. This stain remover procedure I have figured out took this old stain up. The carpet cleaner machine when it was pulling up the stain actually looked like orange juice coming out of the carpet. I just thought I would share.

I'm A Big Kid Now

So Ethan is 33 inches tall and 28.5 pounds. It's funny because on his birthday, which is 8/19, he was 30 inches tall. So in the past 2 months he has grown 3 inches. WOW!!!! He is getting to be a big boy.

HO-TAY

So as people who have small children know most kids go through the stage of saying no to everything. Well Ethan has gotten past that of course and says yes sometimes and mostly says okay or in Ethan's language "Otay". I love it. When I get on to him for something and require him to respond he will sometimes give me attitude and say "HO- TAY". It makes me giggle. What a spunky little person.
I have also been trying to teach Ethan how to say his name. He of course thinks his name is baby. As a background note qubo at night plays old cartoons such as He-Man, She-Ra and such. When we get to his last name he pronounces Cunningham as He-Man. So Ethan's name according to him is Ethan Glen He-Man. What a funny person he is turning into.

Green Beans

So Ethan loves most fruits and vegetables and it is hard for us to try to get him to eat his meats. You him what he wants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner he says apples. Well today we were sitting at a red light and he was backseat driving. He said go and I was trying to explain to him that red means stop and green means go. He then replied " Green beans go". I laughed my pants off. Just a cute little something I thought I would share.

Ethan is 30 inches tall

Ethan had his one year old doctor appointment on the 9th. He only weighs 19.9 but he is 30 inches tall. So we will have his AFP level drawn next week and then we should know the outcome the next week. Hopefully the level will be less than 20. I will post the level when I find out what it.

So Ethan is one...

So Ethan had his first birthday. We had what turned out to be a big birthday party on the 23rd of August. It was a blast. Ethan had fun but didn't really know why everyone was there. At first he just turned in a complete circle and was looking at all of his family and friends. He has never seen everyone in the same place at one time. We are very blessed to have him and I now know what was missing in my life. I look forward to the rest.
